Lip Augmentation

http://imageclinic.org/lip-augmentation.html

It is said that your face is mirror to your personality. Lips are integral and an important part of your face and your smile. Full lips give a youthful and balanced appearance which adds to your smile. If you have thin lips and are looking to add volume to your lips, Lip Augmentation can help you. Many people lack volume of lips because of several factors. With Lip Enhancement, you can get more luscious and fuller lips.

There are several reasons for which you need to undergo Lip Augmentation of which a few are enlisted.
Boost self confidence
Augmenting aging or thin lips
Restoring lost shape or volume of lips
It will help you balance other facial features

Lip augmentation can be performed using Dermal Fillers or your own fat, known Autologous Fat Filler. Dermal Fillers comprise of hyaluronic acid (HA) that is type of natural sugar that is produced by our body on a regular basis. The longevity of Derma Fillers varies from 6 months to 18 months. Autologous Fat Filler is a process where fat is harvested from a part of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, upper arms. The fat is purified and then injected into the lips. There is no chance of rejection, since this comes from your own body. Autologous fat filler is a semi-permanent filler, which usually does not require repeated treatments.

Chin Augmentation

http://imageclinic.org/chin-augmentation.html

Chin augmentation using surgical implants can alter the underlying structure of the face, providing better balance to the facial features. The specific medical terms mentoplasty and genioplasty are used to refer to the reduction and addition of material to a patient's chin. This can take the form of chin height reduction or chin rounding by osteotomy, or chin augmentation using implants.

This operation is often, but not always, performed at the time of rhinoplasty to help balance the facial proportions. Chin augmentation may be achieved by manipulation of the jaw bone (mandible) and augmentation utilizing this technique usually provides a more dramatic correction than with the use of prosthetic implants.

Chin implants are used to build a better profile.[1] Patients' own bone is donated from ribs and from part of the pelvis (the ilium.) Use of donated bone implants in chin augmentation, even the patient’s own, appears to be associated with a higher rate of infection, even after the implant has been in place for decades.

Chin augmentation is still popular because it is a relatively easy operation for the patient while producing noticeable changes in the silhouette of the face. This type of surgery is usually performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, otolaryngologist, or plastic surgeon.
Why the Procedure is Performed

Chin augmentation is usually done to balance the face by making the chin longer or bigger compared to the nose. The best candidates for chin augmentation are people with weak or receding chins (microgenia), but who have a normal bite.

Face Surgery

http://imageclinic.org/cosmetic-face-surgery.html

Cheek, Jaw, and Chin Implants

Facial implants are used to enhance certain features of your face, including your cheeks or your jaw line. You may choose to get the surgery for cosmetic reasons, or you might need it because of a prior surgery on your face.

Deciding to Get a Facial Implant

A good candidate for a face implant is someone in good health who has reasonable expectations. Face implants won't make you look like someone else. An implant, though, can enhance your features.

Before the surgery, you'll have a consultation with your plastic surgeon. You'll discuss your medical history, any dental problems you've had, and any prior cosmetic or reconstructive surgery you've had done on your face.

The surgeon will also want to know what you want to change about your appearance, why you have those goals, and whether you're also planning on getting other surgeries or cosmetic surgery procedures done.

If you and the surgeon decide to go ahead with the surgery, you'll decide together what kind of anesthesia you'll have. You may decide to have local anesthesia with an oral sedative to help you relax. Or you may choose general anesthesia, which means you'll be "asleep" for the surgery.

Facelift Surgery Procedures

http://imageclinic.org/face-lift.html

You feel young on the inside, but the reflection in the mirror is showing the many years passed. When looking as young as you feel is what you want, a Facelift procedure is what you may need. Medically known as Rhytidectomy, Facelift is a surgical procedure which targets the upper neck area and face, with effects lasting for at least 10 years.

Short Scar Lift

This procedure is meant for candidates who have relatively lesser looseness in neck. The incision is made in front of the candidate's ear with small or no extension that goes to the back of ear, with effects lasting for at least 10 years. This outpatient procedure is done under local or general anesthesia, with bandages off in 2 days, and suture removal in 7 to 8 days.

 Mid Facelift

This kind of surgical process is restricted to cheek area and require a very small incision in front of the ear, with effects lasting for at least 10 years. This outpatient procedure is done under local or general anesthesia, with bandages off in 2 days, and suture removal in 7 to 8 days.

Lower Facelift

This kind of surgical process is restricted to jowl area (sagging skin along the jawline)and requires a very small incision in front of the ear, with effects lasting for at least 10 years. This outpatient procedure is done under local or general anesthesia, with bandages off in 2 days, and suture removal in 7 to 8 days.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

http://imageclinic.org/eyelid-surgery.html

What is eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)?

An eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove skin and to add or remove fat from the eyelids. The term "eyelid lift" is a misconception because the eyelid is not lifted during surgery.

Upper blepharoplasty surgery uses incisions on the skin to allow for removal of skin and fat. A thin stitch is then used to bring the skin together to allow for a creation of an eyelid crease.

Lower eyelid surgery can involve skin incisions directly below the lash line or an incision on the inside of the eyelid, called a transconjunctival approach. The transconjunctival approach allows for access to the eyelid fat without visible incisions making this technique perfect for patients who need fat removed or added. This approach can be combined with laser resurfacing of the eyelid skin to reduce lines and wrinkles.

How does one prepare for eyelid surgery?

Prior to eyelid surgery the patient should have a detailed discussion about blepharoplasty and potential risks associated with the procedure. The patient should follow the doctor's pre-operative instructions carefully and thoroughly review the post-operative instructions before the day of surgery. This will allow the patient to have any medications for pain relief or necessary items such a gel packs, artificial tears, and gauze at home prior to their return from surgery.

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

http://imageclinic.org/nose-surgery.html

Improving Form And Function Of The Nose

Each year thousands of people undergo surgery of the nose. Nasal surgery may be performed for cosmetic purposes, or a combination procedure to improve both form and function. It also may alleviate or cure nasal breathing problems, correct deformities from birth or injury, or support an aging, drooping nose.

Patients who are considering Nose surgery for any reason should seek a doctor who is a specialist in nasal airway function, as well as plastic surgery. This will ensure that efficient breathing is as high a priority as appearance.

Can Cosmetic Nasal Surgery Create A "Perfect" Nose?

Aesthetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty) refines the shape of the nose, bringing it into balance with the other features of the face. Because the nose is the most prominent facial feature, even a slight alteration can greatly improve appearance. (Some patients select chin augmentation in conjunction with rhinoplasty to better balance their features.) Rhinoplasty alone cannot give you a perfect profile, make you look like someone else, or improve your personal life. Before surgery, it is very important that the patient have a clear, realistic understanding of what change is possible as well as the limitations and risks of the procedure.

Facelift Procedure

http://imageclinic.org/face-lift.html

About the Facelift procedure

A face-lift is designed to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin on the face, under the chin and along the jaw line. During the procedure, a surgeon will make incisions around your ears and hairline to help reduce the appearance of scars. The skin is then lifted up, facial and neck muscles are tightened, and excess skin is removed to give you a defined profile.

Sometimes a face-lift surgery is combined with other cosmetic procedures such as an eyelid lift, laser facial resurfacing, forehead lift, or liposuction of the neck.
Am I a good candidate?

Most people who choose to have a face-lift surgery are in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, although the procedure can be done on people in their 70s or 80s. People who are considered good candidates for a face-lift surgery have strong, well-defined bone structures and skin that still has some elasticity.

What can I expect from a face-lift ?

It's important to have realistic expectations when considering a face-lift. A face-lift surgery can help you look younger and fresher, but it will not create a totally different look. A face-lift will not restore heath or vitality, and it won't affect the thickness of your skin or change your skin tone. It's also important not to expect instant results—sometimes it can take up to six months to see the final result.

Your surgeon can help you understand what results you can expect and can advise you on combining your face-lift with other procedures.

Lip Lifting Surgery

http://imageclinic.org/lip-augmentation.html

Lip lifting surgery, also known as the upper lip lift surgery, is basically a cosmetic procedure in which the appearance of the lips is made better by altering their shape tactfully. The method gives a more prominent vermilion border as well as a beautiful upper lip area, which are aesthetically pleasing. Lip lift is mostly popular among mid-aged women who want to make their upper lips shorter, thereby restoring their fresher, younger and balanced look.

How Does It Work?

Bullhorn Lip Lift – In this popular method, an incision is made right below the nose along its natural crease. Then, a small portion of muscle as well as some extra skin is removed and the rest of the skin is sutured properly.

Gullwing Lip Lift / Vermilion Lip Lift – In this process, an incision is formed along the vermilion border and the lip is pulled in the upper direction. After that, the extra skin is discarded. Finally, the incision is closed with sutures.

Corner Lip Lift – In this technique, the incision is created along the corner of the lip so that it remains buried under the natural fold of the skin. The corners are then elevated by lifting the skin at those portions as required.
The surgery needs 40 minutes to 1 hour to be finished.

Facelift Surgery and its Advantages

http://imageclinic.org/face-lift.html

Facelifts surgically reposition sagging muscles, fat and tissue along with re-draping skin and reduction of excess skin of the face, jawline and neck to produce a more youthful appearance.

A facelift is facial rejuvenation surgery that goes beyond just tightening skin. A facelift usually extends below the skin to address the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) by repositioning underlying facial muscles and removing any excess skin. A truly complete and comprehensive facelift with the most natural outcome will reduce, redistribute and in some cases add fat to the face.

The modern facelift has moved away from using skin tension to contour the face. As a face ages there are changes to how fat is distributed, specifically the fat in the lower part of the face. The result is that the face looks longer and squarer in shape—young faces tend to be tapered or angular. Thus, the most important aspect of a facelift is to improve facial shape while limiting signs that a surgical procedure has been performed.

Advantages of Face Lift Surgery

Face lift surgery can turn back the clock on your appearance in several different ways, including:

1.Tightening facial muscles : The underlying structures of your face, also known as the superficial musculo-aponeurotic system (SMAS), tend to weaken and sag with age. Before repairing your loose skin, Our Doctors will first tighten and rearrange this underlying structure into a better configuration. This puts less tension on your skin and helps the results of your facelift surgery to last much longer.

Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty

http://imageclinic.org/eyelid-surgery.html

Why is eyelid surgery performed?

Upper eyelid excess skin and fat can create a heavy looking eyelid, aged appearance, puffiness, and sometimes block vision. Upper blepharoplasty is performed to remove excess skin and fat and can improve vision.

Double eyelid surgery  is performed to create an upper eyelid crease. Double eyelid surgery is also called Westernization of the eyelid.

Lower blepharoplasty is performed to remove excess skin, reduce wrinkles, and improve the shape of the lower eyelid by removing skin and fat. Sometimes tightening the eyelid is needed to correct droopiness or sagging. Adding fat is done to improve a “hollowed” appearance.

Hair Transplantation

http://imageclinic.org/hair-transplant.html

Hair transplant surgery is a procedure in which hair is moved from the back and/or sides of the scalp, where the hair is permanent (donor area), to areas that are thinning or bald on the front, top, or crown of the scalp (recipient area). Once transplanted, the hair will continue to grow for a person’s lifetime.

Follicular Transplantation that the most natural results are produced when hair is transplanted exclusively as naturally occurring follicular units. Follicular units are tiny bundles of 1 to 4 hairs that occur in all human scalps. It requires significant skill to obtain these units from the donor area and keen aesthetic judgment to make sure they are placed in a way that will maximize the cosmetic impact of the hair restoration procedure.

Types of Hair Transplants

There are two way to obtain follicular units from the permanent donor area of the scalp. In the more traditional method called Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), a long, thin strip is removed from the donor area and subsequently dissected into follicular units under special microscopes. In the newer procedure called Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), follicular units are removed one-by-one directly from the scalp.

Once the follicular units are harvested, the subsequent steps are essentially the same in both FUT and FUE. Hundreds to thousands of sites (needle-sized holes) are made in the recipient area to receive the grafts. After the sites are made, the tiny follicular unit grafts are placed into them – a step that can take several hours or longer.

Rhytidectomy (Face-Lift)

http://imageclinic.org/face-lift.html

What is a ‘rhytidectomy’?

Rhytidectomy is the medical term for facelift surgery. It is a very popular choice of surgery and along with liposuction and breast augmentation is a favourite choice of procedure in the world.

It involves the surgeon removing excess facial skin from the face, neck and cheeks. He or she will lift and re-drape the skin which will smooth and tighten that skin. The aim is to present a rejuvenated look along which will improve self-confidence.

The result is a younger and fresher looking appearance.

As long as you are in good health and are realistic about what this procedure can achieve then you may be suitable for facelift surgery.

What will happen after my facelift surgery?

After your operation you will be taken to a recovery room. This is a high dependency unit where your progress will be monitored carefully and is there to make sure that you don’t suffer any complications following your surgery. If anything does go wrong then the highly trained staff are on hand to deal with it.

As soon as you are able you will be taken back to your room.

If you have had a general anaesthetic then it is normal to feel a bit groggy and disorientated after surgery. This will pass over time. You can expect to have some bruising and swelling around the surgical wounds and will be asked to keep your head elevated for a couple of days to help reduce this.

Nekc Lift (Cervicoplasty)

http://imageclinic.org/neck-lift-surgery.html

A neck lift is a set of procedures to enhance the appearance of your neck. Procedures can include:

1.Removing excess skin
2.Removing or altering neck muscles
3.Liposuction to remove excess fat
4.Botox injections to address problems with fullness or "bands"

Know Your Goals

You must be in good health to get a neck lift. You'll consult with your surgeon in advance. For that meeting, have your goals in mind for what you want to change.
Here are some of the most common concerns that are addressed with a neck lift:

1.Turkey wattle neck
2.Excess fat
3.Too much skin

Your Consultation - (Image clinic)

During your consultation, you should go over your goals and learn about the options:

1.Turkey Wattle: Your surgeon may recommend surgery, which involves making cuts under your chin or behind your ears or both to access a neck muscle called the platysma. Sometimes, that may even mean removing some muscle.

Newer procedures may let your surgeon make smaller cuts and use an endoscope (a small camera attached to a thin tube) to complete your surgery. Make     sure you ask your surgeon for all your options during your consultation.

You and your surgeon will discuss what type of anesthesia to use, depending on your level of comfort. If you want to remain asleep during the procedure, you     should request general anesthesia. Otherwise, your surgeon can use local anesthesia with sedation. It's up to you, however, to make that choice.

Instead of surgery or in addition to it, Botox injections can relax parts of the platysma that are responsible for the "band" appearance or look of fullness. Those injections can be done in 15 minutes on an outpatient basis, meaning no overnight stay.

Hair Transplant (FUE)

The Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally invasive hair transplantation technique in which follicular unit grafts (hair follicles) are individually removed from the patient’s donor area and then individually transplanted to the recipient (thinning) area. The grafts are removed using a precision tool and then placed in the recipient area. There is no linear scar and no stitches are required, so your donor area will be minimally noticeable within just a few days.

A FUE procedure, as with all hair restoration procedures at Image clinic is performed by and under the supervision of a Best physician. Image clinic physicians have dedicated their practice exclusively to hair restoration. Image clinic physicians are highly skilled in the time-tested Image process of natural graft placement, where a patient’s hairline is recreated in keeping with their original hair growth pattern to give them a natural-looking result.

No stitches; donor area appears mostly unchanged within days
Natural-looking and permanent results
State-of-the-art minimally invasive technique
Simple outpatient procedure
Fast recovery; many patients return to work the next day

Facelift Surgery

http://imageclinic.org/cosmetic-face-surgery.html

A facelift is a surgical method that removes excess facial skin to make the face appear younger. However, the aging face not only loses skin elasticity and develops looser skin, but also loses fat and muscle tone. Additional procedures that may be necessary to achieve the best results include: necklift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), liposuction, autologous fat injection, removal of buccal (cheek) fat pad, forehead lift, browlift, chemical or laser peel, and malar (cheek), submalar or chin implants.

How is facelift surgery performed?

A traditional facelift procedure is performed through an incision starting in the hair or hairline above and in front of the ear (the temporal region). The incision is extended downward in front of the ear, comes under the ear and then upward behind the ear ending in the hair or hairline behind the ear. The skin and fatty tissues are then lifted off the underlying muscle and fascia (connective tissue) as far forward as is necessary to correct the loose skin problem. The underlying muscle and fascia can be tightened with sutures if the surgeon feels it is necessary. The skin is pulled back and upward and the excess skin removed. The wound is then closed with sutures and skin staples. Some surgeons leave a drain in the wounds to remove excess blood. Bandages are then applied. There are surgical techniques which go into deeper tissues rather than under the skin and fat. The results are similar.

Hair Restoretion Benefits

http://imageclinic.org/hair-transplant.html

Hair loss affects both men and women every day. Some form of androgenic alopecia (commonly known as male pattern baldness) affects 2 out of every 3 men, while other conditions, often caused by genetic factors, can affect up to 50% of all women. Overall, studies indicate that by age 50, more than one half of all people will experience some degree of hair loss.

There are, however, multiple methods of hair replacement available both surgical and non-surgical options. In short, now more than ever, hair loss can be controlled.

Surgical hair replacement or medical hair restoration procedures for both men and women are considered elective procedures, and are not generally covered by medical insurance. Because of advances in treatment in recent years however, more hair restoration procedures are available than ever before.

The Benefits of Surgical Hair Restoration

Obviously, the biggest benefit to having hair transplants is the aesthetic change. You get a good head of hair that you can style the way you want. Most men and women want to have a fuller, thicker head of hair.

But, the benefits do not stop there. Having a good head of hair can build self-esteem, ease insecurities, and increase a person's willingness to participate in more social activities.

Many men and women who suffer hair loss become self-conscious and may feel they are less attractive. According to a recent consumer survey, more than 75% of those asked admitted that men sporting a full head of hair were sexier. Most people believe that hair loss would affect their social life or career. Two-thirds of people responding to a survey  said that they would be concerned if they were dating and were experiencing hair loss. Three-quarters said that they would be concerned if they were just starting their career and were experiencing hair loss.
